ABOVE: People being transported to a clinic by wheelbarrow - HAITI 2012
RescueMoto can solve this problem.

“Haiti has the highest rates of infant, under-five and maternal mortality in the Western hemisphere. Diarrhoea, respiratory infections, malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS are the leading causes of death”
- UNICEF

Each year, 500,000 women die from complications in childbirth. And for every woman who dies, another 20 suffer long term illness and/or disability. In Haiti, women are 70 times more likely to die in childbirth than their US counterparts.

Many times, it is simply DISTANCE that adds to the mortality rate. Women simply cannot get to a hospital or clinic in time due to lack of ambulances and the high cost of SUVs. Rescue Moto can be a viable solution in rural as well as urban communities.

At 12:20:           “Kamzuze Touissant rode 30 miles on the back of a motorbike...”
